Allergy friendly substitutions

Before we get cooking, I want to share my favorite brands with you to make grocery shopping a little bit easier. Over the years I have sampled several dairy free, egg free, gluten free, vegan, and plant-based products. Here are the specific brands I recommend.

  • Dairy free milk alternatives: Silk, Oatly, Ripple, Milkadamia, Califa Farms, and Good Karma. (Or homemade oat milk!)
  • Non dairy cheese: Violife, So Delicious, Follow Your Heart, Daiya Cutting Board, Chao, or Treeline.
  • Vegan butter substitutes: Earth Balance, Miyoko's, Country Crock, or refined coconut oil.
  • Dairy free ice cream: So Delicious, Nadamoo, and Van Leeuwen.
  • Allergy friendly chocolate chips: Enjoy Life Foods and Guittard!
  • Egg replacer: Bob's Red Mill or homemade flax egg.

As always, be sure to check labels of store-bought products. Or try some of my popular substitutes like vegan buttermilk, vegan parmesan, vegan mayo, and poultry seasoning.
