- Simple steps: I'm including 3 easy methods to make homemade dairy free chocolate ganache recipe.
Ingredients
This vegan ganache recipe comes together with a couple simple ingredients. Here's what you'll need to make this sweet treat, plus my recommended substitutions.
- Dairy free chocolate chips: Use your favorite brand of vegan chocolate chips or type of chocolate. These are my go-to allergy friendly chocolate chips! Use their white chocolate for a white chocolate ganache.
- Dairy free milk: Full fat coconut milk or coconut cream is the best milk alternative due to its thickness, creaminess, and richness. However, you can use oat milk, soy milk, or almond milk as an alternative.
- Coconut oil: This ingredient is optional! Stirring in 1 tablespoon of refined coconut oil or vegan butter gives the ganache a shiny finish, rather than matte once dry.

When I try to make chocolate ganache with something other than cream, the chocolate seizes. I have been advised that this is because any alternative has water in it. Thoughts? Thank you, Klara
