Baked vegan brownie mix donuts come together with store bought brownie mix, dairy free milk, a simple egg replacer, oil, and water. They're easy to make, soft, and fluffy.
What could be easier than donuts made with brownie mix?! This sweet treat comes together with simple ingredients in 30 minutes. They're great for breakfast, an afternoon snack, or fun dessert.
Equipment
I highly suggest using a donut pan when baking donuts. Don't have a donut pan? Here's how to create a DIY donut pan, using a muffin tin and foil.
Ingredients
Here's what you'll need to make brownie mix donuts! Plus my recommended substitutions. Note that each brand of boxed brownie mix could call for different ingredients so double check the box ingredients and directions.
- Brownie mix: Use your favorite box of brownie mix! I love red velvet, but common flavors include white, vanilla, and chocolate.
- Egg replacer: I highly recommend using either Bob's Red Mill egg replacer or a flax egg.
- Dairy free milk: Use your go-to unsweetened and unflavored plant based milk. I typically use oat milk, almond milk, soy milk, or coconut milk.
- Oil: I recommend refined coconut oil or canola oil, but any neutral tasting oil will work.
