This quick and easy BLT pasta salad recipe comes together with crisp bacon, crunchy romaine lettuce, juicy cherry tomatoes, and a homemade eggless mayonnaise ranch dressing.

You're going to love this tasty twist on the classic BLT sandwich! Simply toss bacon, lettuce, and tomato together with my creamy dressing to coat pasta to perfection.

This salad is great for potlucks, backyard BBQs, get togethers, or any celebration. I often enjoy this meal as a side dish or light lunch!

How to Make a BLT Pasta Salad with Lettuce

Pasta salads are one of my favorites recipes to make! They're also one of the most requested by y'all. My easy veggie pasta salad, greek pasta salad, and egg-free macaroni salad are some of the most popular recipes on the blog.

Making this dish couldn't be easier. Simply grab your ingredients, chop them up, cook the pasta, whisk up the salad dressing, stir everything together, and serve!

It's delicious, dairy-free, and egg-free. Perfect for the entire family.

Ingredient Notes

Here are a few tips to help you as you create this bacon lettuce tomato pasta salad.

The Best Type of Pasta To Use

Small textured noodles are the best for pasta salad, so the saucy dressing is able to absorb into each bite.

I used fusilli but feel free to use your favorite. Some other great options are bowtie aka farfalle, rotelle, rotini, or even penne.

How to Cook Oven Bacon

Cooking bacon in the oven is the best method in my opinion! You don't have to stand over a oil splashing station, as the oven does the work for you.

Place the bacon in a single layer on a lined baking sheet. Bake at 400F for 20 minutes, flipping once halfway through.

I like my bacon extra crispy, so depending on your preference, cook for a shorter or longer duration. This tried and true method is a game changer!

Fresh Vegetables

Lettuce: Romaine lettuce is the superior choice for this pasta salad. It holds up well and provides more nutrients than iceberg lettuce.

Tomatoes: I prefer sliced cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes, but any chopped in-season tomato will work.

Red Onion: This is an optional ingredient, but I'm a fan! Slice or dice it for added flavor.

Homemade Ranch BLT Pasta Salad Dressing

My mayonnaise ranch dressing is a must! You can certainly use store bought vegan ranch dressing and vegan mayo, or you can make them both at home using my recipes!

To make the salad dressing, whisk together dairy free ranch dressing, eggless mayo, apple cider vinegar, and freshly ground black pepper. That's it, so easy!

Frequently Asked Questions

What else can I add to this pasta salad?

Keep the recipe as is or make it your own! Try cubed avocado for extra creaminess or sun-dried tomatoes for additional texture.

Can I prep this meal ahead of time?

You sure can! Prepare the recipe up to 24 hours in advance, but wait until serving to stir in the lettuce. You may also want to add additional dressing.

How do I make BLT pasta salad vegan?

Since my salad dressing is vegetarian and vegan friendly, simply omit the bacon!

Can I make this recipe gluten free?

Easily! To make gluten free BLT pasta salad, ensure that you're using certified gluten free pasta.
