I suggest thawing ground beef overnight by placing it in the refrigerator 12-24 hours before using it in a recipe. This method ensures safe, even thawing and helps maintain the meat's texture and flavor. However, if you're in a hurry, follow these thawing methods:

  • Quick: Place frozen package of ground beef in cold water for 2-3 hours, changing the water every 30 minutes.
  • Super quick: Place frozen ground beef on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave at 50% power for 2-3 minutes, rotating and flipping the ground beef every 30 seconds.

How long does ground beef last in the fridge?

Uncooked ground beef can be kept in the fridge for 1-2 days before cooking. Once cooked, ground beef can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days in an airtight container.

How do I cook ground beef so it stays juicy and flavorful?

For tender ground beef, sauté the meat in olive oil over medium heat. Avoid overworking or overcooking it. Once cooked, remove from heat.

How do I know when ground beef is fully cooked?
