This Aperol Spritz recipe is bubbly, refreshing, and perfectly sweet! It's a light and colorful cocktail that's perfect for the warm summer months ahead.

This post has been sponsored by NewAir. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

As the days get longer and summer nears closer, I'm getting so excited for enjoying the outdoors and entertaining. One of my favorite things about spring and summer is the abundance of seasonal fruit! Especially when I can turn them into fun cocktails and mocktail drinks.

If you've never tried an Aperol Spritz, here's your sign to give it a go. It's my warm-weather happy hour go-to drink because it's so quick and easy to make. Plus it's festive and fun!

Newair Nugget Ice Maker Review

I was recently gifted a Newair 44lb. Nugget Countertop Ice Maker with Self-Cleaning Function. It's compact, sleek, and the perfect addition to my bar cart!

Gone are the days of endlessly filling up ice trays, this ice maker churns out up to 44 pounds of nugget ice daily.

It fits perfectly on my kitchen countertop or dining room bar cart, has an LED-lit viewing window, and pull-out ice drawer. But, one of my favorite features is the convenient self-cleaning function!

This chewable nugget ice maker is incredible for iced coffee, kombucha, sweet tea, cocktails, and more.

Favorite Tools

  • Icemaker: The ultimate countertop nugget ice maker. Basically a sonic ice maker at home!
  • Wine Glasses: These square wide-rim wine glasses are perfect for any fun drink you can dream up.
  • Champagne Stoppers: These stoppers help prolong the sparkling wine by sealing the bubbly!

What is Aperol?

Aperol originated in Italy and is a bitter apéritif. It has flavors of zesty orange with herbal scents, along with a vibrant orange hue. An Aperol Spritz is a widely-popular cocktail that combines the aperitif with sparkling wine and club soda. It's commonly enjoyed during happy hour, brunch, or while lounging by the pool.

Aperol Spritz Ingredients

  • Aperol: The star of the show!
  • Sparkling Wine: Prosecco is an inexpensive Italian sparkling wine. It's the best and traditional choice for an authentic Aperol Spritz. If needed, you can substitute Prosecco with Cava, dry brut champagne, or even a non-alcoholic sparkling wine.
  • Club Soda: Most unflavored sparkling water will do just fine.
  • Fresh slice of orange: A classic Aperol Spritz is garnished with an orange slice!

How to Make an Aperol Spritz Cocktail at Home

This cocktail recipe couldn't be easier! You can gently stir your spritz together in a cocktail glass, however I prefer just to build the cocktail in a wine glass.

Step-by-Step Recipe

  • Fill a wine glass with ice.
  • Add Aperol.
  • Pour in Prosecco.
  • Stream in soda water.
  • Stir, garnish, and serve!

There are several ways to adjust your aperol spritz to your liking. I personally prefer mine less bitter so I do a touch more Prosecco and equal parts Aperol and soda water. If you give this cocktail a try, please let me know what you think by snapping a picture, and leaving a review!
