This fresh peach margarita recipe comes together with ripe peaches, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave.

It's officially summer time in Texas. What better way to cool off than with a refreshing margarita!

We just so happened to have a gift box of fresh Georgia peaches. After making spicy peach salsa and peach and tomato bruschetta, we still had a ton of fresh ripe peaches ready to be used... Enter peach cocktails.

This simple cocktail with a twist uses fresh peach puree, but feel free to use whatever you have on hand.

Homemade peach margarita ingredients

  • Peach puree
  • Tequila
  • Triple sec
  • Lime juice
  • Agave nectar

Make a spicy peach margarita by adding a couple slices of jalapeno!

How to make fresh peach puree

To make peach puree, place fresh peaches in boiling water for 45-60 seconds then place in an ice bath. Peel the skins right off then pit each peach. Transfer to blender and puree until completely smooth.

Frequently asked questions

No triple sec? No problem! Use orange juice instead.

What other sweetener can I use? Honey, a splash of simple syrup, or sweet and sour mix works great here too.

Can I make a large batch of margaritas? Heck yeah, you can! You can double this recipe for additional servings or half it to serve one.

What to do with extra peaches? Follow my guide how to freeze fresh peaches for later in the year.

If I wanted to make the Peach Margarita into a cocktail (alcohol free), what could I use?

I haven't tried that yet but to make a peach margarita mocktail, leave out the tequila and triple sec! Shake or blend the peaches with lime juice and agave then top with a lemon-lime soda. I think a fresh fruit juice could be a good alternative to soda, like orange juice or pineapple juice. Let me know if you give it a try, cheers!
