This Watermelon Agua Fresca is made with fresh watermelon, lime juice, and agave nectar. It's cool, light, and refreshing.

We're all celebrating Cinco de Mayo a little differently this year. Rather than sipping a festive drink on the patio of our favorite restaurants, we're staying in and commemorating Mexican culture and heritage at home.
Make the most out of it with a fruity non-alcoholic beverage. Fun for everybody in the family!
What is Agua Fresca?
Agua fresca is a popular drink throughout Mexico and Central America. It's made by blending fresh fruit with lime juice and a sweetener.
Some popular flavors include watermelon, pineapple, cucumber, cantaloupe, and strawberry.
Ingredients
Sprouts always has the best deals on farm-fresh seedless watermelon! Plus if you don't know how to choose the best one, there's a friendly produce clerk nearby to help.
I love using agave nectar in place of sugar or syrup in cocktails and baked goods, so naturally I used it in this mocktail too! I can always count on Sprouts for affordable organic produce and products.
How to Make Watermelon Agua Fresca
Grab your blender, watermelon, lime, and agave. Toss the roughly chopped watermelon into the bender with lime juice, agave, and water. Blend until smooth then serve over ice in your favorite glass.
To make this mocktail even tastier and more festive, rim glasses with equal parts kosher salt and granulated sugar. Garnish with a lime wedge and fresh mint!
What if I don't have watermelon? Simply use a different fruity melon or fruit instead!
Do I need to strain the watermelon juice? You shouldn't have to! If you want to ensure no froth or pulp in your glass, strain it through a fine-mesh sieve before serving.
