This dairy-free ice cream sundae is topped with crumbled mini cookies, chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, then drizzled with a homemade dark chocolate peanut butter sauce.

This post has been sponsored by Sprouts Farmers Market. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own!

Just because you're lactose intolerant or dairy-free doesn't mean you can't still enjoy a chilly ice cream sundae. Make your own DIY sundae bar at home with all your favorite toppings!

We recently celebrated my 28th birthday with homemade sundaes but they're delicious any day of the week! From vegan to gluten-free, Sprouts' selection of frozen desserts guarantees that everyone in your family can indulge in this decadent treat.

What goes on an ice cream sundae?

Top your sundae to your heart's desire! Some people show restraint on toppings, while others (like me!) load them up with everything but the kitchen sink. Here are some tasty topping ideas:

    • Mini cookies
    • Chocolate chips
    • Chopped peanuts
    • Sliced banana
    • Sprinkles
    • Hot fudge or sauce
    • Whipped topping

    Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Drizzle

To have a true ice cream sundae, you need a rich saucy drizzle over the top of your ice cream scoops! Make your own at home with this 3-ingredient dark chocolate peanut butter sauce.

Simply add coconut cream or coconut milk, smooth peanut butter, and non-dairy dark chocolate to a small saucepan and warm over low heat. Stir continuously as the chocolate melts, then remove from heat, and continue to stir until everything is well combined.

How to make an ice cream sundae

Satisfy your sweet tooth and cool down with this coconut milk ice cream sundae! We love indulging in So Delicious frozen treats because they're unbelievably creamy. For this dessert, we chose their no sugar added vanilla bean flavor. It's vegan, gluten-free, and the perfect base to a fully loaded sundae.

Make your sundae by scooping ice cream into a bowl, drizzle with dark chocolate pb sauce, and sprinkle on toppings. To keep your ice cream frozen for a bit longer, place your bowl inside the freezer just before scooping ice cream!

I hope you enjoy this allergy-friendly ice cream sundae as much as we do. It's delicious, nostalgic, and fun! If you try this recipe, please share a photo with me over on Instagram♡

I'm all about a yummy ice cream sundae, but it's been ages since I've actually made one. This sounds like the perfect thing to do on an at-home date night with my husband. And it's ideal for hot summer days!

Yum! I love warm peanut butter drizzled over my ice cream. I may have to make a sundae next weekend. This would be a great dessert.
