Halloween is just around the corner! If you or someone you know has food allergies, this holiday may come with stress and anxiety. Go ahead and breathe a sigh of relief because I'm sharing my favorite allergy-friendly Halloween candies!
This Halloween is the first year my husband and I will be giving out candy to trick-or-treaters. To say I'm excited would be an understatement!
Of course, I'm excited to meet our neighbors and see the cute costumes but I'm most excited to make the families with food allergies feel welcome and excited.
I'm planning on putting out a teal pumpkin, marking our home on Nextdoor as an allergy-friendly house, and maybe even putting out teal colored lights. I really want parents to know that I understand how serious food allergies are, and I want the kids to have a fun-filled night of trick-or-treating.
In addition to going house to house on Halloween evening, there are often parties, school functions, and more that come along with this season.

It hasn't been but a few months that we realized what was causing all the health problems... wheat, milk, soy, (we knew about peanut butter and seafood), and more. This is a great post - thank you for sharing. We have some neighbors on our street who avoid chocolate and have certain allergies that make traditional goodies difficult. Last year, we handed out bags of chips and popcorn instead, but may give these a try this year!

I love the Enjoy Life Chocolate chips and use them all the time. I didn't realize they had other products available. Most of these products I have never heard of. I will have to check them out to bless the members of our family that suffer from food related allergies.

I remember how excited I was when my husband and I bought our first house and Halloween came around! I have to be honest, fast forward 19 years and three kids later, Halloween is my least favorite holiday. I think because of all the candy! However it is fun to see all of the kids dressed up.
