These baked ground beef sliders are quick and easy to make. Ready in 30 minutes! They're beefy, flavorful, and great for meal prep.

Instead of flipping several burger patties, try this instead! These hamburger sliders are similar to sloppy joes but have the flavors of a juicy cheeseburger.
What makes a burger a slider? If you want to turn a classic burger into a slider, simply use smaller buns.
Why you'll love this recipe
- Beef sliders are perfect for cooking for a large crowd.
- Serve as a party appetizer for game day or any get-together.
- This recipe is super easy to adapt! Use your favorite burger toppings. If you're dairy free like me, use non dairy cheese or leave it off.

Ingredients
- Ground beef: The best ground beef for burgers is 80% lean / 20% fat, however you can use 85/15, 90/10, or a lean ground beef instead.
- Onion: This optional ingredient adds a bold flavor to the sliders. I recommend white or yellow onions.
- Burger sauce: Our homemade burger sauce comes together with ketchup, yellow mustard, pickle juice, and worcestershire sauce.
- Seasoning: Season the ground beef with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cheese: I suggest using cheddar cheese or american cheese. Because we're dairy free, we use dairy free cheese slices!
- Buns: Use 12 slider buns or 6 hamburger buns! Use gluten free rolls, if needed!
- Oil: For brushing the tops of our buns.
- Sesame seeds: To top the buns for that perfect burger bite.

How to make ground beef sliders
Follow my simple step by step directions to learn how to make this meal yourself!
Step 1: Cook the ground beef
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until browned. Add onion and let cook down slightly. Stir in burger sauce, season, and remove from heat.

Step 2: Prepare the baking dish
Spray cooking oil on casserole dish, rimmed baking sheet, or sheet pan, then arrange the bottom buns in a single layer.

Step 3: Top buns with ground beef
Transfer the cooked ground beef mixture to the buns. Use a ¼ cup to evenly distribute the mixture!

Step 4: Cover and bake in the oven
Place a slice of cheese over each bun, followed by the top buns. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes, or until tops are golden and cheese has melted.

Can I make baked sliders ahead of time?
Yes, ground beef sliders are perfect for meal prepping ahead of time.
You can cook the recipe until baking, then store covered in the fridge until ready to serve. If serving from chilled, add about 5 extra minutes when baking.
Alternatively, you can prepare the ground beef ahead of time and assemble when you're ready to bake and serve.

How to keep sliders from getting soggy
After cooking the ground beef, drain the excess fat and liquid from the pan. This will prevent the buns from getting soggy! Also, bake uncovered so the buns don't sweat and become wet.
What to serve with sliders
Served as an appetizer, lunch, or main course for dinner with a side of chips, fries, or tots.
How to store leftovers
Store sliders in a sealed container or covered baking dish in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. To reheat, warm in the microwave in 30 second increments until heated through.
