Baby Urben is a BOY!!! And we couldn't be more excited! Of course we would have been thrilled either way. Here's how we found out and shared the news with others.
Hello hello, friends! I'm officially in the second trimester - woohoo!! Last week we shared that I'm pregnant, plus a recap of the first trimester.
Now, I'm so happy to share the sweet news that we're expecting a baby boy!
Based on my symptoms, old wives' tales, and the fact that we both have sisters, I really thought we were having a girl. (But holding out hope that there's a 50% chance it could be a boy!) Almost everyone we asked also thought girl.
BUT we are so incredibly excited to have a little gentleman on the way!!
We didn't have a big gender reveal party, but still wanted to share our news in a fun way. I made these frosting filled cupcakes to give to Zack's parents and show on Zoom to my family.
More than anything, I'm just so thankful for a healthy, growing baby!
Quick Q&A
- How did we find out so early? I did the optional NIPT (noninvasive prenatal testing) around 10 weeks. We were told it could take 2-3 weeks for the results to come back but we got them exactly 1 week later!
- How have you been feeling? Honestly, pretty dang good! And I'm so thankful for that. The fatigue is still lingering around, but I'm not expecting that to go away anytime soon... All of the other symptoms are relatively mild and don't stick around for too long. I've been taking it easy and allowing myself to take breaks when needed.
- Do you have any names picked out? Nope! I've got a running list of names we both like, but none have stuck quite yet. If you have any boy name suggestions, leave them in the comments 🙂
