This crescent roll peach dumpling recipe is quick and easy to make using fresh peaches, crescent roll dough, and brown sugar. Dumplings are baked until golden brown with a cinnamon sugar topping. They are a delicious treat, great for summer.

Hello, peach season! If you know me, you know I'm kicking off the summer months with fresh, juicy peaches. This year, it's all about simple recipes that look impressive and can feed a crowd.

Why you'll love this recipe

  • Easy recipe: Think of these as shortcut peach cobbler dumplings! All of the tasty, fruity flavor of a cobbler but quicker and easier to make.
  • Great for parties: Serve this delicious dessert at summer barbecues, get-togethers, or any special occasion. It's my go-to party appetizer and dessert for Memorial Day, Father's Day, Fourth of July, and birthdays.
  • Who doesn't love crescent rolls? They're flaky, buttery, and a fluffy. Try my crescent roll taco bake for an easy weeknight dinner or make air fryer crescent rolls or a simple side dish.

Ingredient notes

  • Fresh peaches: Use large, ripe, and firm peaches. You don't need to peel the peach, though you can if you prefer.
  • Crescent rolls: Peach slices are wrapped in crescent rolls with a cinnamon sugar topping. The result is a flaky and buttery dumpling.
  • Butter: Use melted salted or unsalted butter, the choice is yours! We use vegan butter since we're dairy free.
  • Water: This peach crescent roll recipe uses water instead of a can of Sprite, Mountain Dew, or 7UP. A lemon-lime soda is sometimes used to make a syrupy caramel sauce when mixed with butter and brown sugar.
  • Brown sugar: For the perfect amount of sweetness paired with the natural sugar from peaches.
  • Vanilla extract: Just a splash adds a delightful comforting taste.
  • Ground cinnamon: Adds a nice warm flavor to this dessert.

I suggest serving crescent roll dumplings with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We use vegan ice cream since we're dairy free!

How to make peach crescent roll dumplings

The full instructions for this peach dumplings recipe are found down below in the recipe card.

Step 1: Prepare the peaches

Separate crescent dough into 8 triangles. Wash and cut the peaches into 16 total slices. Whisk the cinnamon sugar coating together in a small bowl.

Step 2: Assemble the dumplings

Place 2 peach slices on each of the triangles and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Roll the dumplings up, starting on the wide end.

Step 3: Transfer to baking dish

Place the dumplings in a 9x13-inch baking dish or 8x8-inch baking pan.

Step 4: Coat in butter and brown sugar

Whisk the melted butter, water, brown sugar, and vanilla together. Pour the mixture on top of the dumplings.

Step 5: Add optional toppings

If you choose to, top with extra cinnamon sugar or chopped pecans for added crunch and texture.

Step 6: Bake to perfection

Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before digging in.

Storage

Store easy peach dumplings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. Reheat in the microwave or air fryer until heated through.
