This easy peach dumpling recipe comes together with fresh peaches, crescent roll dough, and brown sugar. Dumplings are baked until golden brown with a cinnamon sugar topping. They are a sweet treat, great for summer.
Preheat the oven to 350F and spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking oil. Wash and cut each peach into 8 slices. Mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon together in a small bowl. Set both aside.
Separate the crescent roll dough into 8 triangles. Place 2 peach slices on each of the dough’s wide end. Sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar and roll up, starting from the wide side. Place in the prepared baking dish and repeat.
In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, water, brown sugar, and vanilla. Drizzle the mixture over the dumplings. Optionally sprinkle additional cinnamon sugar and chopped pecans over the top.
Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the crescent roll dumplings are golden brown and cooked through. Once cooked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
