Ingredients and substitutions

  • Bread: Use your favorite bread for pb toast! I suggest sourdough, multigrain, or whole wheat bread. For gluten free peanut butter toast, use gluten free bread.
  • Peanut butter: Choose between creamy or crunchy, it's up to you. Substitute with almond butter or other nut butter of choice.
  • Banana: Make peanut butter banana toast by topping with banana slices!

Step 1: Toast the bread

Toast bread in a toaster oven or standard toaster.
