Disney Packing List

What to bring to Disney World Parks! You have the essentials packed, but what else do you need to bring? Don't leave home without these five items.

Disney Packing List

Of course, you don't want to leave your MagicBands and wallets behind. But beyond the obvious items, here are my top 5 must-have items for a Disney vacation.

My husband Zack and I have been to Walt Disney World several times in the past few years and I'm itching for another trip out soon. I haven't visited Disneyland since I was a baby, but the same list applies to any theme park.

Disney Packing List

Whether you're visiting Disney for the first time or are a seasoned pro, these are the top items you don't want to leave at home.

Fanny Pack

I wrote an entire blog about why you should rock a fanny pack at Universal and Disney.

In summary, fanny packs or belt bags are more compact and lighter than lugging around a backpack or purse.

I love this one from Amazon! It's water resistant, holds a ton of stuff while being relatively small, and comes in a ton of colors.

Reusable Water Bottle

I have a funny story for you! The first time we visited Orlando to visit both Universal and Disney World, I used the same water bottle purchased at the airport.

I was shocked how many water fountains there were located throughout the parks, so I just kept refilling it throughout the week.

While that wasn't horrible, I was definitely missing my convenient reusable water bottle from home that I use daily. If you prefer filtered water, this bottle is for you!

Snacks

Disney has awesome food but sometimes lines can get long, you may have a hard time justifying $5 for popcorn, or you might want a midnight treat.

Whether you load up on homemade or store-bought snacks, bring a few of your favorites. I typically include mixed nuts and energy bars, plus jerky for my husband.

Ponchos

If you're visiting Orlando, be prepared for those spontaneous showers! These hooded ponchos will keep you dry.

They won't fit in a fanny pack, so you'll have to stash them in your stroller or backpack, if you choose to carry one.

Portable Phone Charger

With all the pictures you'll be snapping away and checking your phone for wait times, it's possible the battery on your phone will get drained before the end of the day.

Keep your phone charged with this awesome portable power bank! It allows for two devices to charge at once.

I couldn’t agree with this list more! I made a Disney packing list and couldn’t stress enough how important it was to have a portable charger. Using the app, taking pics, etc totally sucks the battery lol.

The hooded ponchos really came in handy. I didn't want anything too bulky to have to carry around.

You're going to have a blast!! I was so happy we packed them when it started to pour! There were showers predicted so we wore our Teva sandals that day too. If you plan to wear sneakers, bring a pair of extra socks so you can change them if you need to 🙂

Can I just say that until today I never thought I’d consider rocking a fanny pack again? I’d always imagined those lime green ones from my childhood, but the one you linked to is soooo cute!! I’d totally rock that!!

Haha I know exactly the type of lime green one you're referring to! I love ours, my husband actually wears it more often than I do during park days. Thanks so much for your comment 🙂
