Celebrate a Toy Story-themed 2nd birthday on a budget! See how we kept costs under $150 with fun food, easy activities, and magical Two Infinity and Beyond ideas.

I recently read that the average 2-year-old's birthday party costs around $300! Since we chose to celebrate our toddler's birthday with a Disney trip, I wanted to keep the at home party itself low-key and budget-friendly.
My goal was $100, but we ended up spending just under $150. Here's a peek at the food we served, the games we played, and a few extra ideas to help you pull off your own Two Infinity and Beyond birthday without the big price tag.

Toy Story Party Food
When it comes to themed food, the options are endless (no Pizza Planet delivery required)! Since we hosted the party in the afternoon, I kept it simple with light snacks and sweet treats:
- Buzz Lightyear's Space Slush: Made with Simply Limeade in our slushie machine. 10/10 recommend! (Use discount code VEVT5 for 5% off.)
- Woody's Wild West Infused Water: One with sliced cucumber and another with lemon and lime.
- Slinky Pasta Salad: Spiral-shaped rotini pasta tossed with your favorite vegetables and dressing.
- Rex's Veggies with Hummus: Keep it classic with sliced peppers and cucumber paired with a couple different hummus flavors.
- Jessie's Cookie Roundup: My sister in law brought a variety of vegan and gluten free sugar cookies!
- Bo Peep's Banana Muffins: My banana bread recipe baked into muffins, perfect for the littles.
- Bullseye's Big Cookie: A last-minute (and tasty!) homemade vegan cookie cake that was a big hit.

Toy Story Sensory Bins
My little guy is super into sensory play, so I leaned into that when thinking through games and activities. I filled two small-medium sized clear containers with chunky Toy Story character toys, pompoms (I used two sets of 1.5-inch balls and one set of 1-inch sized balls), star-shaped foam balls, and sensory scoops like shovels and other tools.

My sister in law is a photographer (Merece Photography if you're in DFW) and has an adorable Toy Story backdrop. This was the main focal point of the party and I wanted to make sure we snapped photos of all the cousins and family.
We also had a sticker station, with these cartoon stickers, which doubled as party favors. Win win!
Toy Story Inspired DIY Stickers More Toy Story Birthday Party Ideas
If you're looking for more food ideas, cowboy caviar would be a total hoot! I've also seen a fruit platter paired with a pineapple or cantaloupe decorated with Mr. Potato Head pieces. For dessert, alien cupcakes with green frosting are always a cute touch. You could also try gummy worms as a nod to "snake in my boot" or twizzlers or red vines as Buzz Lightyear's lasers!
Things I almost bought but didn't: Since we had a photo backdrop, I debated ordering Toy Story-inspired balloons, bouquets, and banners. This "2" candle was too cute, and so were the cupcake toppers made for a 2nd birthday! I also loved the oversized cartoon centerpiece and hanging decorations, but in the end I kept the decor minimal. The real test of willpower? Resisting the urge to buy action figures of Woody, Buzz, Slinky Dog, and Rex!
I hope these Toy Story themed birthday party ideas help you throw an unforgettable and stress-free day! No need to spend hundreds of dollars or countless hours on DIY crafting. Create your themed menu, assemble decorations, and make those special memories with your family and friends.
