Here we grow again! Our little family of three will become four this fall. We're so excited to welcome another baby, big brother is already practicing his snuggles!

If you're also pregnant, congratulations! If you're trying or healing from loss, I'm sending love your way. And if you're not in this season of life but continue to support me, thank you.

Life lately
We're long overdue for a catch-up, so grab a cup of tea, and let's chat! We welcomed our son in summer 2023 and I took a lovely maternity leave for about six months. When I started working again, I decided to focus primarily on new blog posts and my email list. Since then, I've published 80 new recipes and sent out at least one email a week!
I used to love trying out new blogging tools and getting lost in social media for hours, but now I'm all about keeping things simple and streamlined. Connecting with y'all through comments and newsletters brings me such joy.
When baby girl makes her debut, I will likely take a few months off to rest, recover, and soak up those sweet newborn moments. Don't worry though, this blog will always stay updated and I'm just an email away. I've been busy working on recipes for vegan cookies, dairy free dinners, holiday classics made allergy-friendly, and more!

First trimester recap
Now that you're caught up, I'm excited to share that I've been doing well and feel so lucky to experience mild pregnancy symptoms. No sickness, just sleepiness - but what else would you expect running around with a toddler all day?!
My pregnancy must-haves are the same as last time, a large tumbler to keep up with water intake, fuzzy socks for cozy vibes, and this pregnancy pillow. If you're looking for books, I highly recommend Cribsheet and the Moms on Call series.

What's to come
The bedroom I use as my office will become the nursery, so we'll be rearranging some things around the house. We also plan to buy new furniture to better optimize our storage space. (Let me know if you're interested in seeing the transformation!)
I want to prep and freeze a good amount of meals for those early days. Last time, I made several loaves of banana bread and batches of oatmeal cookies. This time, I also hope to have homemade pasta sauces, eggless breakfasts, and filling snacks ready to go.
We haven't planned our babymoon just yet, so let me know if you have any suggestions. I'll keep y'all updated along the way. Thanks so much for being part of our journey! Until next time -J
