Have you seen the viral Wildgrain Bread Box? I couldn't resist the sourdough loaves any longer, so I tried them for myself. I ordered their plant-based box to see if the dairy-free and egg-free bread, pasta, and pastry subscription is worth it!

As someone who bakes fresh sourdough bread every week, I didn't expect to love Wildgrain as much as I do. Their bake-from-frozen bread, artisan pastries, and fresh pasta are made with high-quality ingredients that taste super fresh.

What is Wildgrain?
Wildgrain is a bread, pastry, and pasta delivery service. They offer a Variety Box, Italian Box, Gluten Free Box, and Plant Based Box. Since I am lactose intolerant and have an egg allergy, I'm reviewing the latter.
All of their products are made with clean ingredients with a focus on unbleached, non-GMO flours, no artificial additives, and slow fermentation for their sourdough bread. Their pastas are often made with simple ingredients like semolina flour and water, while their pastries typically feature plant-based margarine.

How it works
- Choose Your Box: Once you choose the type of your box, select the size between 4 items, 6 items, and 12 items.
- Receive Monthly Deliveries: Each box is customizable and contains a mix of bread, pasta, and pastries - all par-baked and ready to bake.
- Bake from Frozen: Simply cook the items straight from the freezer, no thawing required!
- Skip or Cancel Anytime: Easily manage your subscription, pause, or cancel at any time. It's very easy and you're even offered a discount code when you opt to cancel your membership.

My favorite things from Wildgrain
I'm always curious what other people like, so here are my faves:
- Croissants: If you've been missing these flaky melt-in-your-mouth treats, these vegan croissants are for you!
- Sourdough Rolls: Just thinking about these dinner rolls have my mouth watering. I appreciate that these are in a resealable bag, so we're able to bake a few at a time versus the entire batch.
- Sourdough Rosemary Garlic Loaf: I can't get enough of this Wildgrain bread with fresh rosemary and crushed garlic in the dough! A hearty slice is great for toast in the morning or as a side with dairy free butter for dinner.
- Sourdough Demi Baguettes: These baguettes are fantastic as a dinner side dish or made into personal pizzas... Just so you know!
- Slow-Fermented Ciabatta Sandwich Rolls: The crisp crust and chewy interior are perfect for paninis.
- Plant-Based Blueberry Biscuits: I was blown away by how tender, soft, and perfectly flaky these are. A must-order!
- Pappardelle: These flat noodles are absolutely delicious. I can't wait to try their other pasta options.
Is it worth it?
Yes, I think Wildgrain is worth it if you enjoy fresh baked bread, high-quality ingredients with minimal effort, and super fast delivery.
- Pros: The biggest advantages are the convenience of freezer to table in 25 minutes or less, free shipping, and products can stay in your freezer for up to 12 months from their production date!
- Cons: The main downsides are the cost and membership subscription model. However, I can currently also opt for a one-time custom box without a subscription. Additionally, even though the products are cooked in 25 minutes, it's best to let them cool for at least 20 minutes.
