Dairy free chocolate ganache comes together with vegan milk and dark chocolate. It's a decadent topping that's great for cake, cupcakes, fresh fruit, and more!
½cupdairy free milkcanned coconut milk, soy milk, oat milk, etc.
Instructions
Microwave: Add dairy free chocolate chips and dairy free milk to a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20 second intervals, stirring in between, for a total of 60 seconds.
Stovetop: Heat dairy free chocolate chips and dairy free milk in a small saucepan over low heat, whisking constantly to avoid scorching.
Bowl: Bring the dairy free milk to a boil and pour over the dairy free chocolate in a metal bowl, stirring until smooth.
Store leftover ganache in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
Notes
The ganache will thicken in the fridge. To remelt, simply warm in the microwave or in a saucepan.To make dairy free chocolate ganache frosting, let the ganache firm up in the fridge, then whip using a hand mixer or stand mixer. Use the frosting immediately.This recipe yields 1 ½ cups liquid ganache and about 3 cups whipped ganache, this is enough to cover 1 dozen cupcakes or a 9" round layer cake.
