Equipment
Stainless steel sauté pan
Ingredients
¼
cup
quinoa
raw
Instructions
Start by heating a dry saute pan on the stove over medium heat.
When the pan seems hot, toss in a couple quinoa seeds to test. The quinoa should jump and pop immediately!
Add the rest of the dry quinoa and shake into a single layer. Continue to shake the pan as the quinoa pops.
After a few seconds the popping will slow and the quinoa will give off a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and transfer popped quinoa to a plate to cool.
Once cooled, enjoy or store in an airtight container.
Notes
Enjoy as is, tossed with seasoning, topped on salads, sprinkled on smoothie bowls, made into quinoa crunch bars, or added into homemade granola.
