    This sugar cookie latte recipe is inspired by the festive, sweet, and cozy flavors of a holiday sugar cookie. It’s an easy Starbucks copycat drink to make in the comfort of your own home.

    This comforting homemade latte is the perfect way to welcome the holiday season! I always get so excited when the seasonal menu comes out. But to be honest, I prefer making my festive drinks at home. If you're in the same boat, this is for you!

    This homemade version makes one 16-ounce "grande" size sugar cookie latte!

    • Coffee: I’m using regular coffee but you can substitute with hot espresso.
    • Dairy free milk: Use your favorite plant-based milk of choice. I suggest oat milk, soy milk, coconut milk, or almond milk.
    • Sugar cookie simple syrup: This easy recipe comes together with water, sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
    • White chocolate chips: These allergy friendly white chocolate chips are perfect for this seasonal drink!

    1. Start by brewing hot coffee or blonde espresso.
    2. Whisk homemade syrup together in a small saucepan.
    3. Steam dairy free milk and froth using a milk frother or hand blender.
    4. Add white chocolate chips to mug then stir in freshly brewed coffee.
    5. Pour in your desired amount of sugar cookie simple syrup.
    6. Top with frothy dairy free milk and decorate with red and green sprinkles or dairy free whipped cream!

    You can store leftover starbucks sugar cookie syrup in a mason jar or airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

    Not feeling the hot version of this recipe? Try these instead:

    • Iced sugar cookie latte: Fill a tall glass with ice. Stir coffee or 1-2 shots of espresso and sugar cookie syrup together. Top with frothed dairy free milk.

    Ingredients
      

    • 2 cups hot coffee
    • ¼ cup water
    • ¼ cup granulated sugar
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
    • 1 cup dairy free milk (almond milk, oat milk, soy milk, coconut milk, etc.)
    • ¼ cup white chocolate chips
    Prevent your screen from going dark while you're cooking!

    Instructions
     

    • Brew hot coffee then set aside.
    • Add water and granulated sugar to a small saucepan. Warm on medium heat, whisking until the sugar is fully dissolved. Add vanilla extract and almond extract. Remove from heat.
    • In a large mug, add the white chocolate chips and pour hot coffee over top. Stir to combine. Pour in desired amount of the sugar cookie syrup.
    • Warm the dairy free milk then whisk with a milk frother or hand blender until frothy. Pour on top. Garnish with holiday colored sprinkles and enjoy!

    Notes

    Store leftover sugar cookie syrup in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Use in other coffee or tea drinks, cocktails, and more!
