This delicious crudité platter is simple, bright, and fresh! It's dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan. Perfect for any party or celebration!

After a wild winter here in Texas, I am soaking up all the beautiful weather this spring season has in store for us.

We've been loving happy hour on the patio with simple snacks! One of my absolute favorite appetizers has been a crudité platter.

A crudite board is made up of assorted raw vegetables, served as an hors d'oeuvre.

    Crudite Platter Ideas

Wondering what goes on a crudite platter? That's up to you! Mix and match ingredients depending on the season.

Look for vegetables that are fresh and in season! I like to pair veggies with pickles, olives, crackers, and creamy dairy-free dips.

    Ingredient Inspiration

    • Asparagus
    • Green beans
    • Shishito peppers
    • Sweet peppers
    • Cherry tomatoes
    • Snap peas
    • Cucumber
    • Cauliflower
    • Carrots
    • Radish
    • Olives
    • Pickles
    • Artichoke hearts
    • Crackers
    • Nuts and seeds
    • Hummus
    • Additional dipping sauces

Crudites can be cut into smaller bite-sized pieces, sliced, or served whole!

How To Assemble The Best Crudite Platter

This healthy vegetable tray is so easy to put together! The presentation is stunning, with vibrant colors and varying texture.

When I create raw crudite boards, I like to start by adding the bowls of dips first. Then add vegetables, keeping color and texture in mind. As you work, arrange veggies around and tuck in remaining desired toppings.

For a gorgeous spread, I enjoy using greenery and fresh herbs to finish!

    Crudites and Dips

At this point, you may be wondering what crudites are usually served with. The veggies are typically accompanied by dips! Here are a few of my favorites:

    • Spinach Hummus without Tahini
    • Vegan Yogurt Tzatziki Dip
    • Baba Ganoush
    • Vegan Almond Ricotta Cheese
    • Roasted Jalapeno Hummus
    • Non-Dairy Ranch Dressing

    Homemade Veggie Tray FAQ

How do I pronounce crudite? Crudité is pronounced "crew-dee-tay”.

Is this a charcuterie board? No! A charcuterie platter contains an assortment of prepared meats, cheese, crackers, artisan breads, olives, fruits, and nuts. Crudités is similar. Almost like a vegan charcuterie board!

How do I keep crudites fresh? A lot of vegetables such as carrots, sliced bell pepper, cucumber, radish, and zucchini can be stored and served raw.

To prepare ahead of time, wash the veggies well and slice, if desired. Wrap in a damp paper towel and store in a sealable bag with the air pressed out. Place in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. I personally prefer to prepare this platter about an hour in advance.

I hope you enjoy my glorified veggie party platter! It's the perfect vegan or vegetarian appetizer that will satisfy everybody. If you give it a try, please share a photo with me over on Instagram.
