Homemade Veggie Tray FAQ
How do I pronounce crudite? Crudité is pronounced "crew-dee-tay”.
Is this a charcuterie board? No! A charcuterie platter contains an assortment of prepared meats, cheese, crackers, artisan breads, olives, fruits, and nuts. Crudités is similar. Almost like a vegan charcuterie board!
How do I keep crudites fresh? A lot of vegetables such as carrots, sliced bell pepper, cucumber, radish, and zucchini can be stored and served raw.
To prepare ahead of time, wash the veggies well and slice, if desired. Wrap in a damp paper towel and store in a sealable bag with the air pressed out. Place in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. I personally prefer to prepare this platter about an hour in advance.
I hope you enjoy my glorified veggie party platter! It's the perfect vegan or vegetarian appetizer that will satisfy everybody. If you give it a try, please share a photo with me over on Instagram.
