Welcome to the fourth Tea Time with Jenna! Brew yourself a cup of tea, take a seat, and let’s chat.
If you’re new to Tea Time, catch up on the previous post here! I started doing these little posts just to share more about what’s going on behind the scenes and to chat with y’all. Feel free to leave a comment below and let me know who you are and what you want to see on The Urben Life. Have a recipe request? Want some travel tips? Something else? I want to hear from you! Did you try a recipe of mine? I’d love to see a picture of how it turned out.
Currently Drinking: Earl Grey Bravo Black Tea
Last time, I was really encouraged by the comments to make Tea Time more of a priority. I can’t believe it’s already May… April really flew by for me! Zack and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary, then went out to Tucson for a wedding, were home for a week before Zack left on a work trip, were both home again for a week, then I flew to Salt Lake City. Now we’re both home and here to stay until the end of the month.
That was a lot!! It was all so much fun though! When we were in Tucson, we ate at awesome restaurants with great vegan options. I got a vegan pizza at Renee’s Organic Oven and then chickpea scramble at Prep & Pastry (pictured above), both were delicious.
So, why was I in Utah? FOR MY FIRST FOOD BLOGGER CONFERENCE! Y’all, Everything Food Conference was so incredible. Read more about my key takeaways and favorite moments below.
Most popular: Vegan Mini Sweet Pepper Nachos
“I made these and my kids loveeeed them! They turned out perfect and the perfect size too.”
“Oh, I made these and they turn out sooooooooooo good! This is a great recipe for sure.”
“Such a great idea for low carb nachos! A nice sneaky way to get my kids eating their veggies.”

- 6-Ingredient Spaghetti Squash Pizza Casserole (Dairy-Free, Egg-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan)
- Visiting Universal Orlando Resort
- Eggless Breakfast Muffins (Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan)
These delicious dips did not last long in our house! Zubiate’s has delicious salsas and dairy-free dips. They sent me a four pack to try and I absolutely loved the vegan and organic crema de jalapeño! Their queso de jalapeño and salsas were devoured as well. My favorite thing about Zubiate’s are the minimal and fresh ingredients. Have you tried them? What’s your favorite salsa or dip?
Everything Food Conference
To be honest, I think I’m still processing everything from the past few days. I met so many inspiring bloggers, heard from awesome speakers, and met some pretty amazing brands.
I contemplated doing a separate post just for EFC, but I’ll try to edit down a couple of my key takeaways and most memorable moments! If you have ANY questions, drop a comment and let’s chat.
One of my absolute favorite parts of the conference was meeting everybody in person! Everyone was so dang friendly, it was truly such a positive environment. Meeting with brands and listening to speakers was, of course, incredible as well!
The conference was Thursday-Saturday with a jammed pack schedule of speakers chatting about SEO, the future of video, building strong brand partnerships, growing an email list, selling products, and so much more.
I have been wrestling with the idea of creating videos for quite some time now, but always chicken out. I’ve done a few for Instagram Stories but never anything beyond that. Is that something y’all would be interested in? Do you prefer Tasty-style/hands & pans or more like a cooking show you would watch on tv or vlogs? Also, would you be more likely to watch on YouTube or social? I really would love to know your thoughts and what you want to see 🙂
If you have the chance to attend EFC, go!!! It was apparent just after day one that this conference was more valuable than I could have ever imagined. Also, sign up for speed networking with brands. I really loved the chance to put a face to the name.
Home Office Update
This update definitely makes the 5 Faves list for this month!! My 2012 MacBook Pro has been on its last legs for the past few months. After going back and forth, I decided to get the new iMac! I’ve never not had a laptop, but I’m pretty optimistic about my decision.
I’m still using Zack’s old IKEA desk but instead of having it in the middle of the room, it’s up against a wall. I also have all my “blogging plates” and gear in here. Nothing is organized yet and there’s no decor on the walls, but I’m hoping to spruce it up over the next few months.

I recently started using a folding table I got off Amazon to take my photos on. This is embarrassing and I probably should even share this, but I literally used to put my marble vinyl down on cardboard boxes. I really should have taken a photo to show how ridiculous I look in my backyard (or on my patio when we were in an apartment).
Do you have any home office design or decor tips? One day I’ll get around to sharing a home tour and I’ll be sure to include any tips from y’all.
Turquoise Waters Candle
I know this is SO random, but I have to share this candle with y’all! Where are my Disney World fans at?? This candle from Bath & Body Works legit smells just like Flight of Passage and Soarin. I’ve been burning this candle throughout the day and it’s just so nice.

They were one of the awesome sponsors at EFC this year and I had a chance to chat with them about their products. Y’all know I’ve been trying to get more into pressure cooking and after having a look at Mealthy’s MultiPot, I’m pretty excited about it! In addition to homemade tamales, I want to learn how to make dairy-free yogurt and vegan macaroni & cheese. Do you have a multipot? What’s your fave recipe to make with it??
