Moving forward, I really need to get these goals established towards the beginning of the month–but it’s a process! And it’s one that I’m holding myself accountable for. It’s kind of hard putting your ambitions out there but I think it will help me focus on what’s important and connect with y’all!
So looking back at my November Small Goals…
Pitch brands for holiday collaborations: YAS!!! I am in the process of collaborating with one of my all-time favorite brands. I’m so excited to reveal these recipes and what I’ve been cooking up!
- Learn light kit & tripod setup: Nope, try again. These buggers intimidate the crap out of me… I’m not entirely sure why either, but I really want to learn how to use them. I think I just need to practice with them often.
Research YouTube for food bloggers: Yep, I did this!!! I actually setup an account and started branding my channel. There’s nothing up yet but I can’t wait to publish my first video, eek! Subscribe to be the first to know when my video goes up. Go to local events: I’m actually attending an awesome event tomorrow at Modern Market. I got a plus one so I’m taking my sister to taste their new winter menu. Be sure to follow me on Instagram, I’ll definitely be posting stories and pictures! Review a restaurant: I actually did this before I posted my November goals but I wish I did more. Over Thanksgiving I visited Tucson, AZ and posted a bunch of food pics on IG though!
- Exercise: Meh. I “hiked” in Arizona a bit but that’s about it. I have a feeling this goal will be on here for awhile…
Add a new client: I did this before publishing my previous post, as well. What’s even better is I added ANOTHER client! In case y’all are new, I help small businesses increase their digital presence.
Wow, it’s really actually amazing to cross goals off your list! I know I titled this “small goals” but some of these are actually pretty major. Maybe it’s time to drop the “small” haha. I know we’re halfway through with December and the last week of this month is going to be crazy, but I want to still put out my goals. Just know that I’m framing these knowing life is about to get really busy.
Practice self care
You’ve probably heard this term a lot lately, I know I have. For me, self care looks like practicing meditation, taking a bubble bath, or reading a book. (Currently in the middle of Gone Girl and next I have Luckiest Girl Alive or Big Little Lies). I kinda fell out of habit these past few weeks of taking time to truly disconnect and center myself.
Show up on the mat
My body is craving yoga! I know that sounds weird, but I feel so much better when I get a good stretch and flow. I couldn’t even tell you the last time I practiced yoga, but if I can’t commit to going to the gym or signing up for a Barre class, the least I can do is YouTube yoga.
Where is my blog headed in 2018? I want to think forward about what type of posts I’ll be pushing out. Also, where I am headed in 2018??
Schedule posts out
This is different than planning ahead because I used to be so good at scheduling posts out a month in advance. Lately, I’ve only been scheduling them out a week or a day in advance… Sometimes even day of! It’s a lot less stressful on myself when I can see what content is going up when and then plan social captions and hashtags ahead of time.
Practice light kit & tripod
Back on the list! I have to do this. I want to do this. I just have to actually do it.
Publish first YouTube video
MHM!!! I better know how to work the tripod if I’m going to publish my first video. So what would y’all like to see? A previously posted recipe? A new recipe? About me? Let me know in the comments!!
Send out newsletters consistently
Have you subscribed to my newsletter? If not, click here!! I’m trying to get on a schedule of sending out newsletters weekly, but I’m thinking maybe every other week might be better. What do y’all think? Do you like weekly emails or do you prefer less frequent. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Okay, it’s your turn! Share your December small goals below and let me know what you think of mine (:
