Deciding where to register as a couple should be super exciting, as you’re essentially building your new life together. Zack and I did not live together before we got married or during our engagement so we both had a mix of stuff from college. I call it stuff because it was mostly hand-me-downs that worked just fine and got the job done, but nothing super special or new. Even if you do live with your partner already and have nice sets of dinnerware, I’m sure you can think of a few things that would be nice to have.
We registered at three places for our guests to have options! Amazon, Crate & Barrel, and Pottery Barn. Each of them were great to work with on creating our registry, keeping track of who bought what, and returns of duplicates. While I am obsessed with all things Crate & Barrel and practically float through Pottery Barn, there’s something so simple about Amazon. Most everybody already has an account and trusts them. Plus, just about anything you can think of is found on Amazon–and usually for a better price.
Here’s a look at some of my favorite picks from our registry! I’ll keep it limited to the kitchen because that’s what most of our registry was filled with and whose life doesn’t revolve around their kitchen? I am a food blogger after all!
I can honestly say that I use most of the appliances at least once a week! I don’t know what I would do without my stand mixer… Bagels, bread, cookies, cake, muffins–you get the idea, I use it a lot. Another item I don’t think I could live without is our food processor! Homemade hummus, vegan queso, I’d be lost without it. We also use the Nutribullet for more than just smoothies, I use it to grind flax seeds regularly. The coffee grinder, water kettle, and rice cooker are fairly straightforward. Who doesn’t love festive margarita glasses for Taco Tuesday or super modern clear glasses for tea? I get so many compliments on the wooden bowls I use for salads and quinoa bowls. And of course, you need a trusty kitchen knife set!
At the risk of sounding like a total nerd, I completely love kitchen gadgets too. Anything to help you out, right? Same goes for colorful or fun items that you know you’ll need later down the road too. Make sure you’re thinking long-term when putting together your registry. Not just what’s on trend at the moment. Let me know if you have any questions or need recommendations for registry items, I’d love to help. You can click on any of these images to get a better view or see more color options!
