Vegan Snack Nation Box Review

Vegan Snack Nation Box Review.png

Hey there, guys! Several weeks ago while I was browsing on Instagram, I saw a story mention a Free Box Offer with Snack Nation. I’ve never signed up for subscription boxes in the past, but I needed to sample all these awesome vegan snacks! This post is not sponsored, I just wanted to share my review.

Snack Nation is a healthy snack delivery service. They have a specific vegan box, and that’s the one I tried out!

Just so it’s clear, the box is free–but you will have to pay for shipping.

The Free Vegan Sample Box

Ordering the box was beyond simple, just follow the link and follow the prompts. After you order you’ll receive emails letting you know your order has been placed, your box has been sent, and a tracking link, etc.

When I heard the knock on my door and looked down to see my box, I was so excited! The branding on the box was appealing. Once I opened the box I was even more blown away. It’s so organized (TYPE-A WIN!!) and inviting. I struggled to choose which snack to eat first because they all looked so tasty!

You’ll be delivered 15 vegan snacks. I was amazed at the great, well-known brands stuffed in there! It’s a mix of healthy chips, popcorns, bars, cookies, fruit snacks, nuts.

The Snacks

I’ll be honest, I’m a picky eater. That’s they main reason why I never sign up for boxes, but I really wanted to try new snacks and find some new favorites. There are just some things that I don’t even want to try so I gave them to my husband and sister.

Without further ado, let’s get this snack party started!

Hippeas – Organic Chickpea Puffs #PeasAndLove
Flavor: Far Out Fajita (chili, paprika, and cumin)
Notable health facts: 3g fiber, 4g protein

This was my first snack and I shared a few with my husband. I loved these puffy snacks! My husband liked them but thought there was too much cumin – to that I say, good things there’s 5 other flavors we can try out! Pepper Power, Happenin’ Hickory, Maple Haze, Vegan White Cheddar, and Sriracha Sunshine. There are at least 3 others that I know I would enjoy.

Square Organics – Organic Protein Bar #SquareOrganics
Flavor: Chocolate Coated Almond Spice (Almond chunks, cinnamon, dark chocolate)
Notable health facts: 12g protein

If you follow any #InstaFoodie or #FoodBlogger, I’m sure you’ve been these bars. I’m not going to lie, I was really excited to finally try them out. I didn’t reach for them first because I was hesitant about the flavor. Almond Spice? I only waited a day until trying it and I was pleasantly surprised with the taste. The almonds were fresh and crunchy, I obviously loved the dark chocolate coating, but the cinnamon spice was a bit too much for me. I would love to try their mint, or PB, really any other flavor! If you’ve tried a Square bar, what is your go-to flavor?

Beanitos – The Original Bean Snack #VivaLaBean
Flavor: Hint of Lime (White beans, sea salt, parsley, lime oil)
Notable health facts: 5g protein

These chips are high in fiber and low in sodium–love that! Especially for tortilla-like chips. These would be great for dipping into guac or other dips, although I ate these alone. The “hint” of lime was more of a kick but in a good way! I couldn’t stop reaching for more. They have plenty other flavors using white beans, black beans, and pinto beans. I love that these are packed with antioxidants, free of sugar, and certified low glycemic. Beanitos are a great alternative to tortilla or potato chips, I’m sure they’ll have more snacks released soon–like the mac n cheese crunch resembling a Cheeto!

Pipcorn – Mini Popcorn #Pipcorn #MiniMoment
Flavor: Dairy-Free Cheddar
Notable health facts: All natural, whole grain, Non-GMO

I first saw this herb spiced popcorn on Shark Tank, where the brother-sister duo landed a deal with Barbra Corcoran. Since I have my own air-popper for homemade popcorn, I’ve never purchased this even though I was intrigued. The best part of this popcorn is that it’s mini, so you feel like you’re getting way more out of your bag than you normally would! Another great characteristic of this mini popcorn is that the cheddar flavor is so realistic! Even husband approved. Since I know I’ll never be able to season my popcorn the way they do, I look forward to trying their other flavors–truffle, sea salt, vinegar, kettle, and rosemary!

Plentils – Lentil Chips #enjoylifefoods #plentils
Flavor: Original Sea Salt
Notable health facts: Vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, non-GMO

I knew I would love these chips just from the packaging alone. When I saw Enjoy Life’s logo I knew the quality and taste would be unbelievable. If you’re familiar with Veggie Sticks, these taste similar.

Kettlepop – Organic Kettlecorn
Flavor: Sweet & Salty
Notable health facts: All natural and contain no added preservatives or chemicals

If you follow me on social media, you know I love my popcorn! With just four ingredients, these little snacks were airy light but fairly filling.

Tasty Brand – Fruit Snacks
Flavor: Super Fruit
Notable healthy facts: Organic, real fruit juice, no high-fructose corn syrup

My sister tried these and here’s what she thought: I love that there’s no gelatin because it grosses me out since I know what it’s made of and technically vegans and vegetarians can’t eat them if they want to call themselves vegan and vegetarian! I can’t tell any difference though from gelatin gummies, so it’s like getting to have gummies again but not having the eating gelatin part in your conscience. That’s probably the best part about it for me is no gelatin, but you can’t even tell!

RBar Energy – Healthy Snack #DoMore
Flavor: PB&J
Notable healthy facts: No added sugar, non-GMO

My sister, Stacey also tried this healthy bar. Here are her thoughts: The flavor was spot on with the taste of a PB&J sandwich. It’s really cool that there are only three ingredients – chopped dates, peanuts, and raisins. Good for if you’re in the mood for something sweet but want to be healthy also. I didn’t expect for it to keep me feeling satisfied for so long but I’m glad it did! My thoughts after hearing what she said: I want to try the lemon poppyseed with 6 ingredients and double chocolate with only 3 ingredients!

Gorilly Goods – Organic Snacks
Flavor: Sweet Curry Cashew
Notable healthy facts: Non-GMO, organic, raw

My husband, Zack had these and said they were good for the most part! He noted they were mildly sweet, very faint in curry taste, and not very salty. I love the fact that they are raw and the ingredients are easy to comprehend: organic cashews, raisins, coconut, coconut nectar, curry, cayenne, and sea salt.

You Love Fruit – Fruit Leather
Flavor: Mango Coconut
Notable healthy facts: Non-GMO, no added sugar, Kosher

Zack also tried this and enjoyed it although he noted it was super inconvenient to eat. The taste at first was similar to dried mangos but then tastes like coconut. He wasn’t too fond of the texture–it was smooth but then had small shaved coconut on it. I love that it’s enriched with fiber & low calorie.

Keep Healthy – Fruitkites Bar #KeepHealthy
Flavor: Mango Almond
Notable healthy facts: No preservatives, 100% natural, non-GMO

Zack also tried this bar, and he really liked it! He noted it was very light, fluffy, not too sweet, and had a smooth texture. This brand has tons of healthy snacks and bars that I’d love to try in the future! If you’ve tried any, let me know in the comments below.

I definitely had a few favorites among these awesome vegan snacks! I could eat Hippeas all day long. Since trying Beanitos, I’ve bought their restaurant style chips and loved those too. And lastly I loved the Square Bar and Pipcorn, I can’t wait to try more flavors in both those!

  1. This box has so many of my favorites! Pipcorn is AMAZING and I LOVE Beanitos chips. Some of my other fave snacks (I have celiac so I’m also gluten free) are Health Warrior’s chia bars and homemade bliss balls.
