Peppermint Patty Smoothie

recipe peppermint patty

Do you ever crave smoothies? It happens to me, rarely… But it does happen. For the most part, I’m a basic smoothie girl–nothing too exotic. If you remember, I have a herb garden so I have a ton of fresh mint, basil, thyme, dill, and parsley. This smoothie is a great way to use up some fresh mint!

I originally found this recipe on Oh She Glows. She recommends using more banana so you can eat it in a bowl–since I wanted more of a smoothie texture, I reduced the amount of banana.

FUN FACT: Did you know mint contains tons of potent antioxidants?! Fresh mint also contains trace amounts of iron, fiber, vitamin A, and potassium. In addition to that, it promotes digestion, serves as a natural stimulant, and provides plenty other health benefits!

  1. I’m not really a smoothie person, don’t know why, but also I can’t think of a reason why I shouln’t be 😉 my husband craves smoothies all the time! But never finds the time to make them. So, I’ll be a good wifey and make those beautiful green glasses of health for both of us. Thank you for reminding me! 😀
