There’s something nostalgic about a rice Krispie treats. They bring me right back to when I was a little girl. I love these delectable-gooey treats, but I don’t always want to buy the prepackaged ones. Most homemade recipes have just a couple of ingredients, but butter is one of them. I decided to use coconut oil in place of butter, and these treats turned out even better than I thought they would!
Coconut Oil Rice Crispy Treats
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 (10.5 ounce) bag marshmallows
5 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
1. Line a baking dish with foil and spray with non-stick spray, set aside.
2. In a large pot over medium heat, combine coconut oil and marshmallows. Stir constantly for about 5 minutes, until completely melted.
3. Once smooth, add rice Krispies and mix until well combined.
4. Pour into baking dish and let cool completely before cutting into squares to serve.
