In case you missed my previous post about our newest toy, we are the proud new owners of an AeroGarden! This thing is even cooler than I thought it would be. The plan originally was to document daily growth, but that’s nearly impossible. Instead, I will attempt to take pictures weekly. Make sure you’re following my Instagram and Twitter for even more updates and pictures! Growth updates and blog posts will most likely go live Sunday afternoon/evening, as we begun this journey on Sunday, January 1st!
Towards the end of Week 1, we already had the Thai Basil sprouting, with the Genovese Basil sprouting not long after! During Week 2 Dill then Mint began to sprout, still not much of anything from the Curly Parsley or Thyme–but to my knowledge, that’s normal for a couple more days.
Watching both Basils grow is definitely exciting because I feel like they’ve grown so much every time I check on them. When the Dill began to sprout it literally looked like the seedling emoji 🌱 I couldn’t get enough of it!
Zack is very excited for the Mint–so we can make fresh mojitos! I think at this point I’m most excited for the Basil–so we can make a pizza with goat cheese, spinach, pine nuts, tomatoes, and fresh basil. Mmmm, that sounds so good right now! But I’m sure it will be well worth the wait.
